Clara Porges (1879 - 1963) was active/lived in Switzerland.  Clara Porges is known for Bright colored painting of landscape, marine, buildings, florals and mountain scene.

Clara Porges, a German-born painter, visited the art school managed by Max Liebermann in Berlin in 1896-1898 and then the Fehr Academy. Later she went on a trip to Italy and trained with Paul Kutscha in Vienna as a landscape painter.

Inspired by Nietzsche's writings, she sought the Engadine in 1911, where she got caught up in the high alpine backdrop. Clara Porges is considered to be one of the most successful painters in a region that has attracted numerous artists since Giovanni Segantini's European success. Clara Porges was so fascinated by Engadine's mountain world that she kept bobbing over the Lago di Cavloccio with her view of the Pizzi dei Rossi over the course of her 50 years of artistic work.
